Our Recreational Gymnastics program is based on skill progression for the girls, boys, and tumbling classes. All programs are ages 5 and up.
The girls program is divided into 3 levels: Starlights (Beginner), Stars (Intermediate) and Shooting Stars (Advanced). Children begin working on basic gymnastics skills on the following events: Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, and Trampoline. All beginner students start out in either Starlights I or II. Both classes teach the same skills but are divided by age.
Starlights (Beginner) and Stars (Intermediate) I & II
A 60-minute gymnastics class in which your child will work gymnastics skills on the following events: Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and Trampoline.
Starlights I or Stars I – ages 5-7
Starlights II or Stars II – ages 8 and up
Shooting Stars
A 90-minute gymnastics class for all ages in which your child will work on more advanced skills on all events. All students must complete the Starlights and Stars levels prior to advancing to this level.
Boys Program
A 60-minute gymnastics class in which your child will work gymnastics skills on the following events: vault, bars, beam, floor, and trampoline.
Rockets I – ages 5-7
Rockets II – ages 8 and up
Tumbling Program
GREAT for Cheerleading!
A 60-minute class in which your child works on tumbling skills on floor and trampoline. Tumbling is divided into 2 groups based on ability and age. The ultimate goal of the Beginner class is to master the round-off back handspring. The Advanced tumblers will do running tumbling. These classes also work strength, flexibility, and jumps.
Beginner Tumbling – ages 5 and up
Advanced Tumbling (back handspring is required) – all ages
